2face and DBANJ WIN BET AWARD


A big congratulations African duo and arguably Nigeria’s biggest musical exports 2face Idibia and Mo’hits’ D’banj. They were awarded the ‘Best International Act For Africa‘ at the recently concluded BET Awards which held last night, June 26th 2011. The awards took place at the Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles was hosted by actor/Comedian Kevin Hart.



The biggest winner of the night was R&B singer Chris Brown who bagged four awards - Best Male R&B Artist, Best Collaboration with Lil’ Wayne and Busta Rhymes. Viewers Choice Award. Brown won another fan-voted award as well, the FANdemonium award. He led all nominees going into Sunday night’s show with a total of six noms, followed by Lil Wayne with five.



Another high special moment of the show were the tributes and honours given to Patti LaBelle, Gil-Scott and Nate Dogg.
